This photoshoot was pretty fucking hilarious too. We set out to hire a dingy motel room (just because that's always been a dream of mine - luring young girls into seedy broken down rooms). It was absolutely disgusting and our genetically embedded bargaining instincts proved unfruitful. We paid $50 for a few hours of photo-taking in a musky smelling room that could've been occupied by a million prostitutes, for all we knew. Also, next door, was a room filled with at least four cats (cats are the bane of my existence pretty much) and a few doors up from us was some drug-induced looking couple. So you can imagine the hilarity of the situation - two giggly girls tottering around in heels, bags of make-up, hangers of clothes and a stack of camera equipment...surrounded by life-threatening catalysts such as cats and druggies.

You know, I once was so miserable and so desperate, I tried to learn how to have lucid dreams. Lucid dreaming is basically being aware that you're dreaming, and as a result, being able to manipulate/control the dream in some small way...Sad I know, but as short-lived as these were, I still remember that the comfort of seeing Cosmin in my sleep would get me wistfully through the day.

Actually, surprisingly a lot of times in the dreams, we would just be going about our day during ordinary yet extraordinary things. We'd share a meal, talk under the moonlight, watch a movie and go get drunk off our nuts at a party. It makes me realise how strikingly valuable these little things are and how much they define my understanding of a relationship...Isn't it?

Then there were dreams where I would find myself waking up with a face wet with tears. Predominantly, it'd be me, him and the airport gate. Hello or goodbye?

Oh life. I'm clinging on. Just a few months more, I keep whispering to myself.
