I'm Coming Home

After two years, I will finally go back to the place where it all started... I couldn't stand it anymore and gathered everything to book for this flight. I cannot wait. I keep imagining the moment when I'll see you. How magical it will be. We'll run in slow-mo to each other and embrace in an emotionally staggering and heartfelt moment. STFU that moment will actually be heartbreaking. I also imagine how tough it would be afterwards - to bid you goodbye again at the airport. Life is cruel. In my perspective, I've done well dealing with being apart all this time...But can you imagine? To let me be with you 24/7 for those few weeks, then to strip it all away from me again - what am I to do? To program myself to adapt to a life without you there all over again?? I'm very excited nonetheless. I have big plans. I intend to visit the beautiful friends I made the summer I was there. Aga from Poland is living a dream in Spain with her boyfriend. Fatmanur will be in I...

I sing it one last time for you

Note the 'Brasov' sign on the hills - just like Hollywood. There's been a massive delay I know, but finally, I've found the will within me to be bothered to post these photos up. This is the batch from my trip to Bran, Brasov and Sinaia. When I flick back through these photos, my heart does this crazy thing. It misses everything... so I get a little sad. On the balcony outside our room. Fatmanur, Aga, & MEE with our Daft Body markings hah. The view outside the room - amazing, breathtaking...HELLOOOOO EDWARD CULLEN has to be somewhere in those trees! Jimmy trying to hitchhike HAHAHAHAHA! On top of Bran castle with Aga. And finally, lo and behold, the most beautiful building I have ever laid eyes upon: Peles Castle in Sinaia. The minute you walk in, there is literally no way you are able to just take everything in immediately. I found myself looking around in all directions, with such ferocity and velocity. I believe my mouth was wide open the entire time... The stree...

I could use a wish right now

Romania feels like it was a lifetime ago. 2 months flew by so fast. It was the best trip ever. Without being too corny, I am so grateful and glad it happened. No regrets. Summer in Europe '10 - you will never be forgotten. I've been back in Sydney for two weeks now. It's terribly dreadful. Mundane routines, places and spaces. The excitement of coming back home to comfort and GOOOD FOOOOD died off after the first few days. Albeit, I've been having massive food cravings and eating like crazy...but that's besides the point. I miss everything about Romania.

Salut!

It's come to my very last day here, in Romania. My heart is breaking. Waiting at the airport now to board the plane. Been a sobbing mess for most of the weekend. Last night was no exception. Love. See everybody in Sydney soon, coupled with proper posts on happenings from the past few weeks of inactivity here.

As promised

Did a quick interview with a local TV station today! They wanted to interview the international trainees and in particular, our contribution to the AIESEC Global Village this month. Global Village = fare where there are stands for different countries and you present your country. People walk around and observe. Work = frustration. Won't go into details yet. Romanian men: Remember how I said they were persistent? Last Saturday, this guy kept coming around and asking me to dance. I said 'no' a few times, so he moved on to my gorgeous blonde friend. She accepted out of sheer boredom. The night ended with him abashedly handing a piece of paper with his email address scrawled on it to one of our Romanian friends - "Can you please pass this on to the blonde girl for me?" "Why don't you do it yourself?" "Because I can't speak English" "Then how the heck are you going to communicate with her through email?!" "I will find a way. I...
